Will Foster I am writing to express my interest in joining the Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce Board. As someone who has spent over a decade enjoying our local trails at John Bryan State Park and cycling the bike paths, I have a deep connection to the community, both personally and professionally. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of overseeing operations at the Yellow Springs motel, a family-owned local business that serves thousands of visitors annually. This experience has strengthened my understanding of the unique business landscape in our village and has reinforced my commitment to helping Yellow Springs thrive as a destination and as a business community. In addition to my work with the motel, I own, manage, and advise several small businesses in the Dayton area across both the tech sector and traditional Main Street industries. My experience spans strategic planning, project management, and scaling businesses, and I regularly provide mentorship to others while surrounding myself with mentors for continued growth. I am a strong believer in paying forward the development and learning gained from multigenerational, layered experiences, and I see tremendous value in fostering these opportunities for others in our community. Yellow Springs holds incredible potential for increased collaboration among business owners and stronger community engagement. I am particularly excited about the Chamber’s role in connecting businesses to resources like financing, real estate, mentoring, and marketing. As someone who currently provides these services to businesses across the region, I believe I can bring both practical experience and a passion for supporting local entrepreneurs to the Chamber’s initiatives. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing growth and success of Yellow Springs, working alongside fellow board members to ensure that the resources available are not only accessible but also enhanced to meet the evolving needs of our business community. Brittany Griffith I am writing to express my interest in becoming a member of the local Chamber of Commerce on behalf of Cresco Labs LLC. As a business partner, I have seen firsthand the importance of being part of a network that supports and promotes local businesses. I understand the value of building partnerships and strong community relationships.
I believe that by joining the Chamber of Commerce, I can further my knowledge about the local business community, its challenges and opportunities. I would be able to provide insight from a local business perspective to help improve our community as whole. Having grown up in Yellow Springs and now working here I feel I would be able to provide input on the community values as well as understanding for the need to grow and strengthen our local business community. Moreover, I am excited about the opportunity to participate in numerous organizational events and activities. Being part of the Chamber would allow me not only to connect with like-minded professionals but also to support and promote other local businesses in our community as well as continue our community outreach and engagement that Cresco Labs LLC has committed to. Kishani Obey I am seeking a seat on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce to bring fresh perspectives and ideas that can benefit all chamber members and our community, as well as to advocate and ensure that the voices of our diverse businesses are represented. Helping small businesses with build out, opening, and closing processes has been a part of my community involvement. During the times spent with these business owners, I’ve had the opportunity to learn about the unique challenges they face here, and support them through various stages of their operations. I believe that my firsthand experience as a business owner and member of this community have enabled me to be a valuable and trusted voice to represent our small business owners, Chamber members, and the Yellow Springs community and help drive initiatives that promote continued growth and success for all members of the Chamber. |
