This 268-acre preserve protects one of the most spectacular dolomite and limestone gorges in the state encompassing a 2-mile stretch of the Little Miami State and National Scenic River, just east of John Bryan State Park and three miles east of Yellow Springs. Geologically, it is an outstanding example of interglacial and post-glacial canyon cutting with the river funneling through a deep, narrow channel and cliff overhangs forming massive slump blocks scattered along the valley floor. Great site for hemlock, red baneberry, Canada yew, arbor-vitae, mountain maple and one of the most spectacular sites in the state for viewing spring wildflowers including the rare snow trillium.

The legacy of alumnus Hugh Taylor Birch, who, in 1929, donated the wooded glen to Antioch College in memory of his daughter, Helen. Now encompassing 1000 acres, all accessible from a 25-mile network of footpaths providing views of spectacular wildflowers, 400 year-old trees, limestone cliffs with waterfalls and overhangs, and the beautiful yellow spring for which the town is named. A valuable resource for hiking, birding, and exploration.

Performance Gymnastics Academy staff has decades of gymnastics experience as coaches, judges, and competitive gymnasts. They are dedicated to helping each student achieve his or her potential, have a successful experience…and have fun! Their mission to build happy, healthy, responsible kids through the discipline of gymnastics training and performance by providing the ultimate learning experience in the sport of gymnastics for children of all ages in a safe, positive environment. Classes from ages 1-1/2 to 17.
Since 1923, Tecumseh Council has been successfully providing quality Scouting programs to thousands and thousands of young people. Today, we serve more than 3,400 youth members in 129 units.
Camp Birch – complete with a dining hall that serves 300, a swimming pool, a 10-acre lake, and many other facilities – is our outdoor facility that we use to teach character, citizenship, personal fitness, and environmental awareness.
Besides our Cub and Boy Scouts, Camp Birch is used by churches, schools, other youth groups, the National Guard and college organizations. Every weekend, 10 to 15 different groups are camping or using the Adams Training Building, our training and educational center, for meetings.
More than 1,400 dedicated adult volunteers support our ongoing efforts to deliver the Boy Scouts of America’s goals to our youth members throughout our council.
Tecumseh Council serves youth in five Ohio counties: Champaign, Logan, Clark, Greene and Clinton.
