Greene County Christmas Bird Count

8 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Glen Helen Christmas Bird Count is one of the world’s longest running and vital citizen science efforts. We will endeavor to find all the birds in the Glen. Everyone interested in volunteering for an hour of the day is welcome. There is room for novices and experts alike. Our 15-mile count circle includes John Bryan State Park, Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve, and many Greene County Parks. Each year, observers spot over 2,500 individual birds!
