The Clean Bin Project documentary at Little Art

February 7, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

The Green Environmental Coalition and YS Climate Action Planning group invite the Yellow Springs community to attend a free screening of the award winning documentary The Clean Bin Project: a documentary about zero waste. The screening will take place at the Little Art Theater on Saturday, February 7th at 3pm.

The Clean Bin Project: a documentary about zero waste, follows the filmmakers Jen and Grant through a year-long competition of who can produce the least waste. Their light-hearted competition is set against a darker examination of the problem of waste and consumption. The film also explores how influential our actions can be in today’s “throw away society”. Described as An Inconvenient Truth meets Super Size Me, The Clean Bin Project is a fun and inspiring call to individual action that speaks to crowds of all ages.

Following the film, Tom Clevenger of the YS Climate Action Planning group will give a short presentation on zero waste and explore some initiatives and actions we can take as a village to reduce our consumption. We are hoping that Yellow Springs citizens will be inspired to take individual actions to reduce their impacts on the environment, including their climate footprint.
