The Ohio Underground Film Festival is having it’s inaugural year, right here in the heart of the art inspired town of Yellow Springs, Ohio. A one day film festival with no filler. With a focus on local, and lower budget, horror and experimental. Featuring a 2 hour shorts block that is mostly made of films and filmmaker from Yellow Springs and Dayton, including 4 former Antioch Film Graduates. Also featuring a tribute to local Dayton filmmakers the late Andy Copp, Matt Brassfield and Henrique Couto, with a screening of their respective shorts.
Followed by a screening of 3 feature films with one being a rare screening of the documentary “Boiled Angels: The Story of Mike Diana” with the other 2 features having their Ohio Premiere.
Video Vixen, the closing film was shot entirely in Yellow Springs in 2024/2025.
The charge for the event is $5 and tickets will be available the day of the event, cash, Venmo, cash-app, quarters, nickels and dimes will be accepted. The event will be 18+ due to some of the nature of the films.
