From Yellow Springs Street Fair with Love
The 2025 October Yellow Springs Street Fair was one for the books! From the vibrant energy of participating businesses throughout the downtown district to the buzz of conversation and laughter along the Community Space @ Short Street, the festival once again captured the heart and soul of the village. With live music, unique vendors, and neighbors gathered in every corner, Yellow Springs showed up as amazing as ever.Â
This year’s Street Fair, presented by the Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce, drew an unconfirmed low estimate of over 30,000 attendees, making it one of the largest Street Fairs to date. Thanks to the incredible dedication and professionalism of the Yellow Springs Police Department and Miami Township Fire Rescue, the festival remained a safe, welcoming place for visitors to enjoy and celebrate the magic that defines Yellow Springs. With convenient shuttles (including one from the famous Young’s Jersey Dairy) attendees enjoyed a complete experience.
Behind the scenes, the Village of Yellow Springs, Public Works Crew, and Parks & Recreation Department worked tirelessly to reroute traffic, block streets, and coordinate logistics with precision. Their partnership with the Street Fair planning team ensured smooth vendor entry and exit, creating a seamless experience for everyone involved.Â

And then there were the stages. Three words: Stages. Stages. Stages! The Jackson Lytle & Lewis Community Stage once again brought the lawn to life with an exciting lineup of music, magic, and belly dancing. Across town, the Yellow Springs Brewery hosted the ever-popular Beats + Brews Fest, featuring live bands, big sounds, and family fun. Emceed by the incomparable Tonee Threat, the event also showcased the generosity of local nonprofits, the Masonic Lodge and Story Chain, who poured beer and raised funds for community causes. Because in Yellow Springs, even a good time has heart.Â
Amplified by the Greene County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Yellow Springs Street Fair continues to stand out as one of the largest and most beloved events in the region. Under the leadership of Events Coordinator Melissa Herzog, the fair remains true to its mission, highlighting local businesses, fostering community connection, and ensuring every visitor feels the warmth of Yellow Springs hospitality.Â
A NOTE FROM THE COORDINATOR

There was a massive shift in the Yellow Springs Street Fair’s vibe this October. I’m proud of what we organized, executed, and experienced together. So many people were here!
Like many of you, I’ve been calling YS my happy place for a long time.
As a member of this community for the last decade, I’ve been up close and personal with many others; watching, listening, serving, and learning. In different and unique ways, I’m aware of how these two Saturdays every year impact this small town, both personally and collectively.
As you can imagine, it brings me great pleasure to hear so much positive feedback from Saturday. I took a big leap back in February by saying YES to organizing this event. It was way out of my comfort zone, but I’m so grateful to now have two fairs under my belt.
Over the course of its existence, the legendary YS Street Fair has undergone many changes, and I’m certain there are more to come. I’m excited to see where we can take it from here. Thank you to everyone who came and to everyone who made it happen. May we continue to gather, support, uplift, and love one another.
Long live Yellow Springs, where kindness and community continue to reign.
In Gratitude,Â
Melissa Herzog
Events Coordinator, Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce
Held twice a year, on the second Saturday in June and October, the Street Fair invites locals and regional neighbors alike to escape the everyday and experience a day full of color, creativity, music, and joy.Â
Thank you, Yellow Springs community, vendors, volunteers, and visitors, for showing up, showing love, and making this October’s Street Fair a beautiful reflection of everything that makes our village shine. 🌻Â
