A Celebration of Art, Music, and Community
What makes the Clifton Gorge Music & Arts Festival stand out among summer festivals is its authentic setting. Nestled beside the breathtaking Clifton Gorge and surrounded by historic architecture, the festival invites visitors to slow down and experience the charm of a village that has welcomed generations of travelers.
Spend the day browsing handcrafted artwork from more than 70 artisan vendors, enjoying delicious offerings from local food vendors, and listening to live music throughout the weekend at the Maynard Neff Shelter. Dance performances bring energy to the village intersection, while a Friday evening Cruise-In, sponsored by Cartunes by Chuck Sivils, adds a nostalgic touch to the festivities.
Outdoor enthusiasts can join a guided Saturday morning hike through Clifton Gorge with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, while families will find plenty to enjoy in the Kids Area featuring games, activities, prizes, and face painting. A beer tent near the music stage offers a place to relax and soak in the festival atmosphere.
A Festival Full of Character
The festival is more than a weekend celebration. It is one of the Village of Clifton’s most important annual fundraisers.
Proceeds help preserve some of the community’s most treasured landmarks, including the historic Opera House, the Old Clifton Union School, and the Firehouse, which once served as the village jail. By attending the festival, visitors play a role in helping preserve the history and character that make Clifton such a special destination.
Like many of the best small-town Ohio festivals, the Clifton Gorge Music & Arts Festival is made possible through the dedication of Village Council members and an incredible team of volunteers. Their commitment keeps this long-standing tradition thriving and welcomes thousands of visitors to Clifton each year.
