Midnight in Yellow Springs: Phoebe Bridgers Lost Weekend Release Party
Record Store fans, vinyl collectors, and Phoebe Bridgers fans have a late-night reason to visit Yellow Springs.
This Thursday night, Toxic Records & Poster Gallery is turning midnight into a celebration with a special release party for Phoebe Bridgers’ new album, Lost Weekend.
Both the upstairs and downstairs shops will open at 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, with the new album playing shortly after doors open. Then, when the clock strikes midnight on Friday, August 14, the album officially goes on sale upstairs.
More Than a Midnight Release
For music fans, this is more than simply picking up a new record. Toxic Records is creating the kind of late-night independent record-store experience that makes discovering music (and visiting Yellow Springs) worth the trip.
Fans can expect:
- Black Vinyl
- Indie Exclusive Color Vinyl
- CD
- Cassette
- A limited “Zodiacal Light” Vinyl Variant, available only at participating midnight-release stores
- Phoebe Bridgers merchandise and giveaways, beginning at 11 p.m. while supplies last
- A secret surprise that will only be revealed at the event
Approximately 120 total copies of the album will be available across the various formats, and the limited Zodiacal Light variant is expected to go quickly. Fans are encouraged to arrive early.
Toxic Records will begin taking names and purchase selections from those in line around 10:45 p.m., giving everyone a chance to decide what they want before the midnight release.
A Late-Night Yellow Springs Experience
Because Toxic Records is an intimate independent shop, capacity may be limited inside both spaces. If the shop reaches capacity, guests may be asked to wait outside, but they will still be able to purchase the album while supplies last.
The shop plans to stay open until approximately 12:30 a.m., or until the albums sell out.
